WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE
I invite you to peruse the pages that you find here. I have created this website primarily for myself, so that I have a place where I can explore, study, and contemplate the mysteries that interest me, but I happily share them with anyone who may also find them of interest.
My connection with the ancient Chinese ICHING ("The Book of Changes"), The brilliant book, The Gene Keys by Richard Rudd, (based on the ICHING), the teachings of Merlin and Taliesin, as well as the wisdom gifted to us from the Celtic Goddesses, Gods, and other beings in the four branches of the Welsh I Mabigonion, have been a source of never-ending entertainment, delight, and personal epiphany for me.
I am also deeply connected to The Tarot, not so much as a tool of divination, but as a mirror of our own subconscious archetypes. These archetypes, when uncovered and defined through meditation and/or contemplation, show us what underscores the fears, habits, strengths and weaknesses, that we project to the world, or try to ignore, deny, hide, and disguise to the point where we lose sight of them ourselves. I use five Tarot decks to help reveal the essence of these archetypes. These decks all have different slants and offer unique insights. They are:
-
THE LLEWELLYN TAROT by Anna-Marie Ferguson (text and artwork). This deck uses the tales and characters found in the I Mabigonion for inspiration.
-
THE WILDWOOD TAROT by Mark Ryan & John Matthews. Artwork by Will Worthington. This deck follows the wheel of the Celtic Year, and uses the archetypes, animals and elements that one would encounter on a path through the ancient Celtic woodlands.
-
HALLOWQUEST: THE ARTHURIAN TAROT by Caitlin & John Matthews. Artwork by Miranda Gray. This deck is based on Arthurian characters and legend.
-
THE GRAIL TAROT: A TEMPLAR VISION by John Matthews. Artwork by Giovanni Caselli. This deck uses the history of the Knights Templar in their search for the Holy Grail after the death and resurrection of Christ.
-
THE MERLIN TAROT: IMAGES, INSIGHT, AND WISDOM FROM THE AGE OF MERLIN by Robert John Stewart. This deck is very unique, and unlike traditional decks with the re-numbering of the Major Arcana. It presents unexpected, and truly insightful new meanings to the cards.
My research is to discover and work with the connection between this ancient Celtic wisdom and the 64 hexagrams of the ICHING /Gene Keys.
